Replicas of Soviet Victory Banner Hoisted at Transneft Building in Moscow
Flags that are replicas of the Victory Banner have been placed on flagpoles of the central Transneft office in Moscow in the run-up to celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The banners have been made at the Company’s initiative and are hoisted as a tribute of respect to peoples of the USSR, having smashed the Nazi foe, and as a sign of pride in this great deed.
The Victory Banner is a national treasure and an official emblem of the Victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The banner represents the assault flag of Idritskaya Second-Degree Kutuzov Order Rifle Division No. 150, hoisted on 1 May 1945 over the Reichstag in Berlin.
