From 2008 to 2018, Transneft East has allocated nearly RUB 400 million to implement socially important healthcare, educational and sports projects in Irkutsk Region.
This year, the financial aid provided to the region has exceeded RUB 220 million. The bigger portion of the money was used to implement Transneft East’s most extensive project in Irkutsk Region: selective overhaul of the outpatient clinic of the Bratsk City Children’s Hospital. The total cost of the project is almost RUB 160 million.
This year, Transneft’s subsidiary has also financed the purchase of equipment for a sensory room at the Skazka nursery school in the town of Vikhorevka. The Company has donated money to install a new workout spot in Vikhorevka, repair an exercise therapy hall at the Bratsk City Hospital No. 2 for people who are disabled and need rehabilitation and also to purchase equipment for a robotics classroom at the Beryozka nursery school of Vikhorevka. The programme for outfitting robotics classrooms at schools and nursery schools will continue until the end of the current year. A number of other educational institutions located in the towns where the Company’s operational facilities are situated will receive new furniture and educational robotics sets.
Last year, Transneft East completed a project for supporting mass and children’s sports: Bratsk received two multipurpose sport grounds. The work continued this year, and one more sports ground valued at more than RUB 5 million was opened in microdistrict No. 7 of the city.
Given below are the biggest projects implemented in previous years: providing over RUB 30 million to finance the 130 Kvartal Irkutsk historic centre construction project in 2011, buying a new trolleybus for the regional centre. In 2014, the Company financed revamping of Nursery School No. 23 in Bratsk (RUB 15 million), in 2014 it donated money to repair the premises for children’s injury care centre at the Bratsk City Children’s Hospital.
The high-profile projects supported by Transneft East also include renovation of the premises of Bratsk-based unique Russian poetry library named after Viktor Serbsky (more than RUB 3 million) and revamping of a runway at the Kirensk city airport.
Starting from 2016, under its social and economic partnership agreements, the Company has purchased school buses for Bratsk District, purchased equipment for holding the Unified State Examination and completely renovated the interior and outfitted the concert hall at the Bratsk Arts Centre.
The projects which Transneft East intends to implement in Irkutsk Region in 2019 include construction of a school combined with nursery school in the settlement of Rechushka, Nizhneilimsky District.
