Oil and Petroleum Products Supply via Transneft System

Transneft has summarized its 2020 performance in transportation of oil and petroleum products and announced its plans for 2021.

2020: Supply of Crude Oil

In 2020, Transneft supplied 442.3 million tonnes of crude oil via the oil trunk pipeline system (in 2019 it was 485.0 million tonnes).

233,6 million tonnes were delivered to Russian refineries (vs. 245.9 million tonnes in 2019).

The volume of crude oil exported to other countries (both within and outside the CIS) via the Transneft system last year amounted to 208.4 million tonnes (vs. 238.8 million tonnes in 2019).

This includes 194.1 million tonnes exported to non-CIS countries:

- Russian oil — 175.6 million tonnes (vs. 202 million tonnes in 2019);

- oil from Kazakhstan — 15.6 million tonnes (vs. 15.3 million tonnes in 2019);

- oil from Turkmenistan — 2.3 million tonnes (vs. 2 million tonnes in 2019);

- oil from Azerbaijan — 613 thou tonnes (vs. 880 thou tonnes in 2019).

14.3 million tonnes were delivered to the CIS countries:

 - 13.3 million tonnes to Belarus refineries (vs. 17.6 million tonnes in 2019);

 - 938.5 thou tonnes to Kazakhstani refineries (vs. 1 million tonnes in 2019).

Therewith, export through seaports amounted to 108.7 million tonnes (vs. 138 million tonnes in 2019):

- the port of Novorossiysk — 20.6 million tonnes (vs. 31 million tonnes in 2019);

- the port of Primorsk — 33.2 million tonnes (vs. 47.5 million tonnes in 2019);

- the port of Kozmino — 32.9 million tonnes (vs. 33.2 million tonnes in 2019);

- the port of Ust-Luga — 21.9 million tonnes (vs. 26.4 million tonnes in 2019).

Export through the Druzhba oil trunk pipeline in 2020 amounted to 45.4 million tonnes (vs. 42.3 million tonnes in 2019),

including:

- 18.9 million tonnes to Germany (16.1 million tonnes in 2019);

- 14.2 million tonnes to Poland (13.1 million tonnes in 2019);

- 3.0 million tonnes to the Czech Republic (3.8 million tonnes in 2019);

- 5.4 million tonnes to Slovakia (5 million tonnes in 2019);

- 3.8 million tonnes to Hungary (4.3 million tonnes in 2019).

Export of crude oil to China in 2020 amounted to 40 million tonnes (vs. 40 million tonnes in 2019), including:

- the border between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China — 30 million tonnes (30 million tonnes in 2019);

- the border between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan — 10 million tonnes (10 million tonnes in 2019);

2020: Supply of Petroleum Products

In 2020, Transneft supplied 37.8 million tonnes of petroleum products via the petroleum products trunk pipeline system (in 2019 it was 37.8 million tonnes),

including:

- motor petrol — 1.9 million tonnes (2.2 million tonnes in 2019);

- diesel fuel — 34.2 million tonnes (33.1 million tonnes in 2019);

- aviation kerosene — 1.7 million tonnes (2.5 million tonnes in 2019).

23.1 million tonnes of diesel fuel were exported through seaports (20.7 million tonnes in 2019),

including:

- the port of Primorsk — 16.1 million tonnes (13.5 million tonnes in 2019);

- the port of Vysotsk — 2.3 million tonnes (2.3 million tonnes in 2019);

- the port of Novorossiysk — 4.7 million tonnes (4.9 million tonnes in 2019).

Plans for 2021

In 2021, the supply of crude oil through the Transneft oil trunk pipeline system, based on consignors’ requests, is planned to be at the level of 439 million tonnes. including:

- 242.2 million tonnes to Russian refineries;

- 196.6 million tonnes for export.

Therewith, deliveries to non-CIS countries are planned at the level of 175.5 million tonnes, including:

- 96.6 million tonnes through seaports (the port of Novorossiysk — 17.9 million tonnes, the port of Primorsk — 28.9 million tonnes, the port of Kozmino — 30.9 million tonnes, the port of Ust-Luga — 18.9 million tonnes;

- 38.9 million tonnes through the Druzhba oil trunk pipeline;

- 40.0 million tonnes to the People's Republic of China.

It is planned to supply 21 million tonnes of crude oil to the CIS countries, including:

- 20.0 million tonnes to the Republic of Belarus refineries;

- 1.0 million tonnes to the Republic of Kazakhstan refineries.

In 2021, the transportation of petroleum products through the Transneft petroleum products trunk pipeline system, based on consignors’ requests, is planned to be at the level of 36.3 million tonnes, including:

- 1.9 million tonnes of motor petrol;

- 31.8 million tonnes of diesel fuel (21.8 million tonnes of diesel fuel will be exported through seaports, including 16.3 million tonnes through the port of Primorsk; 2.4 million tonnes through the port of Vysotsk; 3.1 million tonnes through the port of Novorossiysk).

- 2.6 million tonnes of aviation kerosene.
