Petroleum Product Skimming from Water Surface within Area Allocated to Transneft on Petroleum Product Leakage Site in Krasnoyarsk Territory Completed

On 5 June 2020, a team of four experts of Transneft Siberia, led by Director General Victor Bronnikov, took a flight by helicopter Mi-8 MTV departing from Tazovsky Settlement of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area at 06:30 MSK and arrived in Norilsk at 8:30 MSK.

5 June 2020: additional on-site reconnaissance survey was conducted together with the EMERCOM of Russia; the necessary personnel, vehicles and equipment were determined along with the sequence and most effective ways of performing petroleum product spill clean-up operations.

5 June 2020: a meeting with EMERCOM resulted in allocating a contaminated site for Transneft Siberia: the Ambarnaya River.

Petroleum product skimming from the water surface in the area allocated to Transneft is completed.

Overall, 9,288 m3 of petroleum product have been skimmed from the water surface. The products have been pumped into temporary containers of Nornickel (SET-250, SET-150, SET-50).

Equipment dismantling and relocation works are being performed. The total headcount is 12 employees.

The employees who are still on-site will be transferred on 24 June 2020.
