Transneft Takes Part in 5th International Energy & Oil Conference in Zagreb

On 3 December 2019 in the city of Zagreb President of Transneft Nikolay Tokarev and Vice President of Transneft Sergey Andronov took part in the 5th International Energy & Oil Conference “Energy in the 21st Century”. The event was organised by JANAF, the operator of the oil pipeline system in the Republic of Croatia, under the patronage of President of Croatia on the occasion of the company’s 45th anniversary.

In his welcome address Nikolay Tokarev highly appreciated the role of JANAF in developing the European energy infrastructure and congratulated Croatian colleagues on their accession to the International Association of Oil Transporters in September this year.

Mr. Andronov took part in the round table discussion “Energy Transformation and the Role of Energy Infrastructure,” dedicated to relevant trends on the energy market of Europe and the role of oil transport companies.

Among the guests of the event were also Chairman of the Governing Board, International Association of Oil Transporters and CEO of MERO Č.R. Jaroslav Kocián; Director General of KazTransOil Dimash Dossanov; Director General of Ukrtransnafta Nikolay Gavrilenko; and other executives of oil transportation companies.

An additional agreement to the contract for transportation services was signed between Transneft and Ukrtransnafta on the sidelines of the event.

Transnaft Diascan and JANAF signed a memorandum of understanding, called to expand their mutually beneficial cooperation in trunk pipeline inspection.

For reference:

JANAF, JSC is the operator of the oil pipeline system in the Republic of Croatia. JANAF operates the Croatian system of oil trunk pipelines, as well as part of the Adria oil pipeline. The company transports crude from the Omišalj terminal and port (Krk island) for Croatian and overseas refineries in Eastern and Central Europe. The company was founded in 1974.
