Implementing the decisions made by the Company’s Board of Directors on 24 July 2019, Transneft has signed an agreement with LUKOIL about the settlement of incident consequences , whereby illegal actions by third parties resulted in crude that did not meet the GOST requirements entering the Druzhba oil trunk pipeline in April 2019. The documents address the contaminated (as a result of the incident) volumes of LUKOIL crude transported to Hungary-based MOL Group.

“Signing a package of documents regarding the settlement with LUKOIL, as well as declarations of understanding, demonstrate our –°ompany’s commitment to the decisions made about the soonest possible settlement of the Druzhba incident’s consequences,” said President of Transneft Nikolay Tokarev. “We appreciate the constructive approach of our colleagues from LUKOIL and MOL to the settlement of the given issue.”

Transneft continues negotiations with other consignors in the context of the suggested mechanism of settling the incident’s consequences.
