The anniversary was celebrated on 27 April at the Novorossiysk Drama Theatre in the presence of the President of Transneft, Nikolay Tokarev, First Vice President Maksim Grishanin, Vice Presidents Sergey Andronov, Boris Korol, and Aleksey Sapsay, the Director General of Chernomortransneft, Aleksandr Zlenko, heads of other Transneft subsidiaries, and veterans of the company.

Mr Tokarev gave a welcome address to the Director General of Chernomortransneft, noting the contributions made by the company to the development of the Russian oil transport industry.

In the course of the celebration, Transneft managers visited the town of Gelendzhik on 28 April 2017 where they took part in the grand opening of the new Andreyevsky Park and monument to St Andrew. Creation of the Park involved a full-scale reworking of the town’s leisure zone and was led by Chernomortransneft.

In addition, Mr Tokarev held a working meeting at the offices of Transneft - Terminal in the village of Praskoveyevka, near Gelendzhik.

Chernomortransneft is one of the largest entities of the Transneft system. It came into existence in 1967 as the Black Sea Directorate of the Soviet oil procurement organization, Glavneftesnab, which created the system for oil transport via trunk pipelines in southern Russia. Chernomortransneft now operates about 3,500 km of oil trunk pipelines in six regions of the southern part of the Russian Federation and also has large tank farms.
