Transneft takes an active part in Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference ADIPEC-2021 held in Abu Dhabi (UAE) from 15 to 18 November 2021.
The Company’s Vice President Andrey Badalov spoke at the joint Russia-UAE conference organised by energy ministries of both nations. His report which was part of the Digital Technologies in Oil and Gas Industry session introduced the participants to the main principles of digital transformation and the key areas where digital technologies are implemented by Transneft. The 2030 Digital Transformation Strategy comprising 10 programmes and 53 business development projects covers all key areas of the Company's operations, including crude oil and petroleum products movement supervision, control of commodity transportation, procurement, financial activities, construction, human resources and ancillary projects.
Mr Badalov dwelled on the key areas of collaboration with overseas companies in the oil and gas industry as well as on the export potential of the Transneft subsidiaries - in particular, Russia’s biggest provider of pipeline and tank inspection services Transneft Diascan, Transneft R&D pipeline transport institute, Transneft Oil Pumps, Russian Electric Motors, Transneft Upper Volga’s industrial automation centre.
Mr Badalov emphasised in his address that Transneft is constantly improving the information security solutions used in the industry to reduce the risks of possible impact on the infrastructure when implementing, developing and operating software and IT hardware.
Representatives of the UAE Energy Ministry as well as Russian business leaders such as Gazpromneft, Vimpelcom, UAE-based AIQ and other firms also joined the discussion.
Delegations of Transneft Diascan and Transneft R&D also participate in the ADIPEC-2021 business programme.
The international ADIPEC exhibition is the largest event in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry of the Middle East that has been held since 1984. This year, the event gathered more than 2,500 exhibits, 11,000 delegates and more than 1,000 speakers. More than 150,000 professionals are expected to visit the exhibition.
The ADIPEC’s participants present up-to-date scientific studies, innovative solutions and services, including those in the area of oil and gas fields’ development as well as processing, storage and transportation of oil, gas and petrochemical industries’ products. A thematic conference, where the key issues of the industry development are discussed, is held in parallel to the exhibition.
