On 29 July 2020, a delegation of Transneft, led by Pavel Revel-Muroz, Vice President of the Company, visited leading industrial companies of Perm Territory in order to involve them in manufacturing products for Transneft subsidiaries and expand cooperation with them as part of the import substitution programme.
The members of the delegation reviewed the exposition of innovative products of the region’s industrial companies. Possibilities of their use in the pipeline industry were discussed during a working meeting with the participation of Pavel Revel-Muroz, Vice President of Transneft, and Dmitry Makhonin, Acting Governor of Perm Territory. Representatives of the region's industry presented their products at the meeting.
Pavel Revel-Muroz noted that 97% of the equipment and materials used by Transneft were produced in Russia. To implement the import substitution programme, companies from various Russian regions were involved. “Based on the results of the visit to Perm Territory, inventions in mechanical engineering seemed to be the most interesting; we have already established cooperation with many manufacturers, they are aware of our requirements. This meeting allows to attract new suppliers and expand the existing cooperation,” he added.
Dmitry Makhonin, Acting Governor of Perm Territory, stressed that Transneft was a key partner in the region. The companies of the region are already actively interacting with the Company, supplying personal protective equipment, protective clothing, gas analysers and more. During the visit, they expected to demonstrate the potential of the industrial complex of the region.
The specialists of Transneft informed the representatives of the organisations about the requirements for the products procured by Transneft subsidiaries, as well as the procedure for organising and conducting procurement. The meeting participants also discussed issues of mutually beneficial cooperation and possibilities of joint projects with Transneft.
Being a large consumer of machinery, equipment and materials, Transneft places orders with a multitude of national manufacturers and encourages them to adhere to higher-quality standards. In the meantime, the Company continues expanding the line-up of innovative products crucial to the industry, which are manufactured at the Company’s own plants.
In 2018-2020, as part of the import substitution programme, Transneft has held business meetings with representatives of ten constituent entities of the Russian Federation: the Republic of Tatarstan, the Chuvash Republic, Udmurtia, the Republic of Mari El, Altai Territory, Tyumen, Vladimir, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod and Kurgan Regions. Representatives of more than 200 organisations participated in those meetings.
About 1,400 persons are employed by Transnert industrial facilities located in Perm Territory. Operating in the region are entities of Transneft Kama Region and Transneft Urals (the Perm Oil Pipeline Directorate, as well as the Arlan Oil Pipeline Directorate).
