Transneft has won the main prize as the Best Socially Oriented Company at the contest conducted by the Energy Ministry of the Russian Federation; such was the decision of the Expert Committee.
The contest (held annually since 2017) is meant to motivate various organisations to hone their social policies, identify, study and disseminate the experience of best socially oriented entities that achieve high efficiency in addressing social issues, improving the living and working conditions, as well as promoting the oil and gas industry. Transneft has been named the winner of this contest twice before.
Besides winning the main award, the Company was also proclaimed a winner in the following nominations: Developing the Labour Market and Facilitating Employment among companies with +100,000 employees and Engagement with Institutions of Vocational Education. Ensuring the unified social policy standards in Transneft subsidiaries, implementing the programme of interaction with institutions of higher education and developing their physical infrastructure, the corporate charitable programme aimed at developing the social infrastructure in Russia’s Far East for 2020-2022, organising and conducting the Best in Profession contest, as well as the Best Volunteer Fire Brigade Crew competition, were named the best projects within the given contest.
Transneft subsidiaries won 18 nominations, as well as special awards for 8 projects; three entities were awarded special certificates for robust social policies.
The awarding ceremony will be held this October in Saint Petersburg on the sidelines of the Tenth Saint Petersburg International Gas Forum.
