Transneft Employees Win 16 Prizes at Nationwide NDT Professionals Contest

Employees of Transneft subsidiaries have become winners of the XVII Nationwide NDT Professionals Contest that was held in Moscow on 2-5 March. They won 16 prizes, including 5 first prizes, 8 second prizes and 3 third prizes.

The final round of the contest was held in 9 categories (non-destructive testing methods): acoustic emission, visual and instrumental testing, vibration diagnostics, eddy current testing, penetrant testing, magnetic particle inspection, industrial radiography, thermal imaging and ultrasound testing.

Transneft was represented by 19 specialists from 9 subsidiaries at the contest. Overall, 46 non-destructive testing experts from 27 large Russian manufacturing enterprises, including Gazprom, Izhorskiye Zavody, Volzhsky Pipe Plant, Irkutskenergo, the Achinsk Refinery, ODK-Perm Engines and BITTEKHNIKA, took part in the contest.

The results were announced and the winners were awarded at the VI International Industrial Forum “NDT Territory. Non-Destructive Control. Testing. Diagnostics.”

Here is the list of prize-winners from Transneft:

1st place:

  • Rushan Rizvanov, a setup and test engineer, Kazan RPD, Transneft Kama Region;

  • Nikolay Kirilliov, Chief Specialist for NDC, Transneft Upper Volga;

  • Nikolay Khmara, an inspection engineer, SDEPR, Transneft Urals;

  • Edgard Alikov, an inspection engineer, SDEPR, Transneft Urals;

  • Arseny Spiridonov, Lead Inspection Engineer, SDEPR, Transneft Urals;

2nd place:

  • Yevgeny Nikitin, a 2nd category engineer, SDEPR, Transneft Urals;

  • Vladimir Dmitriyenko, an engineer, Inspection Division, Transneft Diascan;

  • Sergey Ilyasov, Chief Specialist for NDC, Transneft North;

  • Vadim Kalmykov, an NDT inspector, Chernomortransneft;

  • Ilya Lyutoyev, a radiography NDT inspector, Transneft North;

  • Ruslan Nizamutdinov, an inspection engineer, SDEPR, Transneft Urals;

  • Yevgeny Pukhalsky, Lead Engineer for Construction Supervision, Transneft Supervision;

  • Albert Khairullin, an electrical equipment repair and maintenance fitter, SDEPR, Transneft Urals;

3rd place:

  • Andrey Ovsyannikov, an inspection engineer, SDEPR, Transneft Urals;

  • Aleksey Serdyuk, an inspection engineer, SDEPR, Transneft Urals;

  • Vladislav Filatov, a foreman of vocational training, the Tyumen Oil Pipeline Professional College, Transneft Siberia.

The Nationwide NDT Professionals Contest has been conducted since 2004. The contest is an effective event to enhance professional craftsmanship and to promote the trade of non-destructive testing, ensuring a high level of safety during industrial operations, as well as in energy and construction industries.
