The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has awarded the President of Transneft Nikolay Tokarev the II Class Order of Friendship.
The ceremony was held at Dosmukhamedov Atyrau State University in Atyrau (Republic of Kazakhstan) as part of a festive event dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the oil and gas industry in Kazakhstan.
The transportation of energy resources is one of the areas of effective long-term Russian-Kazakhstani cooperation. Representatives of KazTransOil, the national oil pipeline operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Transneft have been members of the International Association of Oil Transporters (IAOT) since 2015. Both companies take an active part in the work of the Association, including the permanent expert groups for energy efficiency, supply and legal aspects.
KazTransOil regularly participates in the Transneft Youth Science and Technology Conference and the Best in Profession contest.
In November 2017, Transneft and KazTransOil signed a Memorandum of Cooperation providing for the development of cooperation in the field of possible supplies of pumps and pumping equipment, electric drives, devices for bottom sediments cleaning, electric motors, as well as other equipment manufactured at plants and central production service shops of Transneft.
In 2018-2019, as part of the Memorandum, TOMZEL successfully tested an electric motor and a device for bottom sediments cleaning at facilities in Kazakhstan. As a result, one device was delivered to KazTransOil.
