Transneft has taken part in the INNOPROM trade fair in the city of Yekaterinburg.
The booth offered its visitors information about the activities of Transneft subsidiaries, products and equipment, including those manufactured under the import substitution programme. Widely used in the exposition were interactive presentations, multimedia maps of oil and petroleum products trunk pipelines owned by Transneft and 3D diagrams of the Company’s investment projects.
The exposition’s centerpiece were mockup models of the equipment used by Transneft subsidiaries: a three-phase, synchronous, explosion-proof 8,000-kW motor, a pit-type pressure chamber to repair DU 300-1200 underwater pipelines at the depth of up to 25 meters, a mainline pump MLP 10000-210, a Diogen-700-SPM device for breaking bottom sediments apart in tanks filled with high-viscous oil and petroleum products, a PTP FLYDE laboratory glass reactor for synthesis of drag reducing agents and a TN-01 measuring and computing complex.
The mockup model of a combined magnetic ultrasonic inspection tool sparked great interest among the visitors. It has been recognised as the flagship model of the inspection tools developed by Transneft Diascan’s designers who were the first in the world to combine two physical inspection principles in one in-line inspection tool: ultrasonic and magnetic. Thanks to this invention, the given inspection tool can use WM+MFL+CD technologies to detect the main types of pipe defects within one run: axial slits, pitting corrosion, metal lamination and loss, notches as well as defects in axial and girth welds. The tool can also detect combined defects which are particularly hazardous and hard to detect using inspection tools harnessing only one physical principle (either ultrasonic or magnetic).
Ca. 80% of visitors to the trade fair are professional customers from different parts of the world, industrial specialists making decisions regarding the implementation of new products and technologies. More than 600 companies from 20 countries exhibited their products at the fair.
