Transneft athletes have become prize-winners of the Russian Summer Corporate Games held on 6-9 June 2019 in the city of Alushta (the Republic of Crimea) on the grounds of the Krymsky sports training centre.
Participating in the tournament were more than 100 Russian companies. Vice President of Transneft Boris Korol took part in the grand opening event.
The programme of the Games included 27 sports: sailing regatta, tourism, rock climbing, billiards, ping-pong, futsal, streetball, volleyball, tug-of-war, tennis, hurdle races, arm wrestling, repetition-to-fatigue bench press, kettlebell lifting, multidiscipline event (CrossFit), track and fields, GTO event (ready for labour and defence), push-up, pull-up, dynamic shooting, darts, draughts, chess, long backgammon, table soccer, petanque and e-sports.
Chernomortransneft employees competed in basketball, ping-pong and chess.
Lead specialist from the Security Coordination Section of the Security Division at Chernomortransneft Valery Nogotkov won the gold medal in the men’s ping-pong tournament. Alina Zhuravlyova, a specialist of the Administration and Maintenance Section, finished third in the women’s tournament. Bronze medals went to Valery Nogotkov and Alina Zhuravyova (Chernomortransneft) in ping-pong doubles.
Lead Engineer from the Commodity and Transport Section of Chernomortransneft Evgeny Kolesnikov won the gold medal in the chess event.
Deputy Head of the Human Resources Section Rustam Bagirov won the silver medal in the pull-up event.
The basketball team of Chernomortransneft also won the gold medal in the corporate competition.
32 teams took part of the football tournament held within the Russian Summer Corporate Games. The Company’s combined team was represented by athletes from Transneft, The Pipeline Transport Institute, Transneft Logistics and Transneft Upper Volga. The Company’s team won two matches at the group stage, but suffered a shoot-out defeat in playoffs.
The Russian Nationwide Summer Corporate games were held with the support of Rosteс (Russian Technologies State Corporation), Rosoboronexport, the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Sports in the Republic of Crimea and the Sport Foundation, under the auspices of the Trudovye Rezervy Russian Nationwide Fitness and Sports Society.
The event also included a business agenda (a discussion panel), with famous athletes and politicians as invited speakers as well as an entertainment programme.
