The awards ceremony of the nationwide Russian High Social Efficiency Company contest took place on 22 February 2017 in the House of the Government of the Russian Federation.
During the ceremony, the Director General of Transneft Upper Volga, Yury Levin, was presented with the highest award of the competition, the Grand Prix. The company was commended for the combined results of its social and charity work in 2016.
More than 40 Russian organisations took part in the competition, with evaluations given for various indicators of social efficiency.
The ceremony was attended by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, Minister of Labour and Social Protection Maxim Topilin, and President of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (FNPR) Mikhail Shmakov.
The Russian High Social Efficiency Company contest has been held annually since 2000. It aims to attract public attention to solving social issues at an organisational level.
At the regional stage of the competition, which was held by the Ministry of Social Policy of Nizhny Novgorod region in December 2016, Transneft Upper Volga was the winner in four categories.
