Project objective: exit to the markets of the countries of the Asian-Pacific region as well as provision for oil transport to refineries of the Russian Federation.
The project is implemented on the ground of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No.1737-r dated December 31, 2004.
In December 2012, the ESPO-2 pipeline system was commissioned.
The throughput capacity of the existing pipeline system constitutes 30 million tons of oil per year.
Within the framework of the project, a 2,046 km long pipeline was constructed from Skovorodino PS to Kozmino port, 8 pump stations were constructed; expansion of Skovorodino PS, construction of a tank farm (capacity: 500 thousand cubic meters), expansion of onshore and offshore facilities of Kozmino port, and construction of external power supply, communication, and operational facilities was completed.
The route of the pipeline passes through the territory of the Amur Region, the Jewish Autonomous Region, and the Khabarovsk and the Primorsk Territories.
