The project has been implemented in line with the Intergovernmental agreement concluded between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on cooperation in the oil industry on April 21, 2009.
Skovorodino – PRC border pipeline is a branch of the ESPO pipeline system that is designed for the export transportation of Russian oil to China.
The length of the linear portion of the Russian section is 63.4 km, its diameter is 720 mm. Oil delivery is performed at Dzhalinda pipeline metering station.
The facility was commissioned in 2010, commercial oil supplies to China started on January 1, 2011. Based on the results of 2014, measures implemented to extend the capacity up to 20M tons of oil per year were implemented.
